"DIARY OF PANTICAPAEUM" by Oleg Sakmarov (named after the ancient Greek province on the territory of the modern Crimea) is full of cultural reminiscences of a very wide range: from antiquity to postmodernism. Cosmogonic scale of poetic reflection matches bright music solution, paradoxically combining layers of classical art, folklore and rock-avantgarde. In Oleg Sakmarov’s intonation style one can feel influence of Tatarstan musical culture, taken in from his childhood, with its emphasis on folk music and desire to create monumental forms, based on different cultural traditions.

The artistic director and conductor of the orchestra La Primavera Rustem Abyazov offered the idea of a concert-stage realization of Oleg Sakmarov’s new composition. He has created a version of "Diary of Panticapaeum" for readers, a chamber orchestra, a duduk, an electric guitar and a rock band. It should be noted, that the creative union of Rustem Abyazov and Oleg Sakmarov is already known to Kazan audience by a joint concert of musicians and their groups in the Great Concert Hall named after Saydashev in December 2012.

In October 26, 2016 a world premiere of a rock-oratorio is expected in the Concert Hall named after Saydashev. It will be performed by Rustem Abyazov and Kazan Chamber Orchestra La Primavera, Oleg Sakmarov and the rock band "Sakmarov Band": the actor of the Moscow theater "Lenkom", a laureate of the award "Triumph" Igor Konyahin, the actor of the Moscow theater "U Nikitskih Vorot (At Nikitskiy Gate)" Anton Belskiy, a known performer of the duduk  Vitaliy Poghosyan (St. Petersburg), a laureate of the All-Russian competition Mikhail Fomichev (guitar, Moscow), Andrey Dyukov (bass guitar) and Andrey Churkin (drums).
